Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

For over 28 years, K-Tec Systems has assisted companies to make better products by helping them control their temperature, pressure, and flow during their manufacturing process. Headquartered in Ferndale, Michigan (Detroit Metro), K-Tec Systems is a manufacturer, global distributor and engineering integrator of temperature sensors, wire harnesses, control systems and test equipment with an established reputation throughout diverse industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Food, and Chemical.

The Customer Service Specialist is a core position within K-Tec Systems, this role will interact with all aspects of the business; request for quote, quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, reports and ad hoc projects. Additionally, there is a need to form a strong relationship with coworkers, customers, and vendors as this role is an important role within the business. 

Job Description:

  • Interact with customers and vendors daily
  • Process RFQ’s (Request for Quote)
  • Enter sales, purchase orders and create invoices 
  • Follow up on sales and purchase orders 
  • Run reports
  • Follow K-Tec Systems customer service order procedure  
  • Willingness to learn and work with ERP system (NetSuite)
  • Understanding operational workflow

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4-year college degree (Business Administration, Engineering is a plus)
  • Proficient with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills in complex situations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, completing them in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently or within a team
