K-Tec Systems Named Authorized U.S. Distributor for Aerosensor Aerodynamic Probes

K-Tec Systems is proud to announce a new distribution partnership with Aerosensor, a UK-based manufacturer of precision aerodynamic probes and pressure measurement instrumentation. As Aerosensor’s authorized U.S. distributor, K-Tec Systems will supply the full Aerosensor product line to customers across the aerospace, defense, automotive, motorsport, and unmanned systems industries.

About Aerosensor

Founded by Dr. Barney Garrood PhD, a former Formula 1 aerodynamicist with decades of high-level motorsport and wind tunnel testing experience, Aerosensor designs and manufactures aerodynamic probes and data acquisition hardware built for demanding professional measurement applications.

Aerosensor’s instrumentation is produced using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) additive manufacturing, enabling highly customized probe geometries in stainless steel, titanium, or Inconel — depending on application requirements. Every probe is individually calibrated in Aerosensor’s purpose-built in-house wind tunnel across multiple flow speeds and operating angle ranges, with calibration data delivered as ready-to-use lookup tables.

The product line includes:

• 5-Hole (Multi-Hole) Probes — full three-dimensional flow vector measurement, including total pressure, static pressure, and flow direction in yaw and pitch
• Kiel Probes — highly insensitive to flow angle; suitable for total pressure measurement in turbulent or directionally variable flows
• Kiel Rakes — multi-probe arrays for boundary layer profiling and full-scale vehicle or engine testing
• Yaw Pitots — simultaneous dynamic pressure and yaw angle measurement; now standard equipment in Formula 1 and increasingly applied in truck, UAV, and cycling aerodynamics
• SC-01 Pressure Scanner — high-accuracy 8-channel differential pressure data acquisition at up to 1,000 samples per second, with 24-bit resolution and ±0.05% full-scale accuracy
