Smart Omnidirectional Probes
A 14-hole omnidirectional probe with onboard processing, for flow of unknown or changing direction.
Angle and Velocity When Flow Direction Is Unknown
A smart omnidirectional probe pairs a 14-hole head with onboard processing. It reports angle of attack, yaw and pitch, velocity, static and total pressure and temperature in real time over USB, including in flow that changes direction or reverses.
The compact stainless steel probe suits wind tunnel flow mapping, angle-of-attack measurement and air data development, where setting up a pressure scanner and reduction software would slow the test.

More Than a Probe Supplier
K-Tec Systems manufactures the sensing and cabling around the probe in Ferndale, Michigan, so one U.S. team can support the whole measurement chain, from thermocouples and RTDs to wire harnesses.
Manufactured and supported in the U.S.
K-Tec Systems builds custom thermocouples, RTDs, wire harnesses and test stands at our Ferndale, Michigan, facility. The probe, the temperature sensing and the cabling can be specified together, with one U.S. team behind the order.
Flow and temperature at the same point
K-Tec thermocouples and RTDs can be integrated into compatible probe designs, so total pressure and temperature are measured at the same location.

Smart Omnidirectional Probes: Frequently Asked Questions
What is an omnidirectional probe?
A probe with many pressure ports on a spherical head, which lets it resolve flow direction over a very wide angle range rather than a narrow cone.
What angle range is covered?
±160° at better than ±1° accuracy. Confirm the figures for your configuration at quotation.
What is the operating temperature range?
-20°C to +70°C. For hotter flows, ask our team about other probe types.
How is it connected?
Over USB, plug and play, with processing done onboard.
How do I request a quote?
Call 248-414-4100 or submit the request form below with your flow conditions and mounting requirements.
Not sure which probe fits your test? See the full probe range or call 248-414-4100.
